Barules is a retro British style speakeasy bar hidden somewhere on Fuxing Lu and Fengyang Lu. Created by Taiwanese bartender Sam Kuan in 2014. Barules has been ranked among the best speakeasy bars in Shanghai. Kuan follows the British-style of mixology with passion, merging and refining different techniques into his creations, making Barules one of the few bars in Asia with one of the most British styles of mixology. The all-star team has received many awards praise, covered in up to seven publications. Sam Kuan also handpicked a selection of Pop Fusion, Dance House, and Disco music to create the just-right vibe. While the entrance of Barules is already somewhat concealed, the hidden jazz bar "L" makes the place even more intriguingly mysterious. You can host your own private events.
