An ATELIER (French word for “workshop”) is usually a room in a private dwelling, or an attic, and set aside for crafts. A room to express art, passion, and inspiration through painting, sculpture, poetry… The discipline French owners Vincent and Thomas dedicated this place to though is Food, Drinks, and a kind of bohemian “art de vivre”. L’ATELIER is sat at the second floor of a famous building on the busy Changshu road. Its casual French food is an essential addition to the Shanghai scene as the city was lacking of a simple, hearty, affordable offer. Seek no more! L’ATELIER is a contemporary French bistro with a jazzy New York “je ne sais quoi”, a fine-tuned modern interior design, wrapped into a soulful music ambiance. L’ATELIER serves moderately priced hearty meals, comfort foods, in an unpretentious setting, and offers great entertainment for the after dinner crowd, cocktail sippers, and wine palates.
